Microsoft Word - russ fdny reading photo (1).docxRuss Siller recently retired after a 45 year teaching career which included teaching English Composition to 5th graders in a Staten Island Orphanage; 25 years teaching creative writing and literature, and directing plays in a Staten Island high school; and 15 years teaching humanities at Empire State College. He began using acting and theater arts in classes with the kids in the orphanage and continued with high school and college students. He has served as secretary of the Tunnel to Towers Run Foundation since its inception in 2001. Russ has been a longtime part of the Phil Schultz’s “Writers Studio” community and has spent a decade in various projects with his dear colleagues at Skidrow Penthouse.
